Yes. Chef Ryan works in Airbnb and VRBO kitchens across the Ojai Valley. As long as the kitchen has a working stove, oven, and some refrigerator space, it works. You book the rental, you book the chef — he brings everything else.
How far in advance should I book?
2–3 weeks ahead is the sweet spot. It gives enough time for a real menu conversation and proper local sourcing. For peak weekends — holiday weekends, summer, Ojai's arts season — 4–6 weeks is safer. Last-minute requests do sometimes open up; worth reaching out even on short notice.
Does the rental host need to be present?
No. This is a service booked by the guests for the guests. The rental host doesn't need to be involved or present. It's a private arrangement between you and the chef — like any other service you'd hire for the stay.
What's the pricing for a vacation rental dinner?
Pricing starts at $180 per person for a 3–4 course intimate dinner (2–4 guests) and runs $200–$280 per person for larger dinner parties with 4–5 courses. Yes. Multi-night stays with multiple dinners are something I accommodate — each evening gets its own menu so there's no repetition. Just indicate the number of dinners when you reach out so availability can be confirmed across all dates.
